Azerbaijani envoy meets minister of industry, trade of Kingdom of Morocco

Azerbaijani Ambassador to Morocco Nazim Samadov has met with Minister of Industry and Trade of this country Ryad Mezzour, Report informs.

The current state and prospects for the development of economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Morocco were discussed at the meeting, in particular, the possibilities of expanding ties in the industrial and trade spheres.

In this regard, the importance of the last meeting of the joint Azerbaijani-Moroccan intergovernmental commission, held in Rabat in 2023, was noted.

The parties also highly appreciated the favorable conditions created by the visa-free regime that entered into force in August 2024 for the development of economic cooperation in general, in addition to the tourism sector, between the two countries, and exchanged views on a plan of measures that will ensure practical steps in this direction.

The meeting participants emphasized the existing broad potential for mutual investments, and one of the main topics of discussion was the possibility of strengthening economic cooperation and further improving the legal framework.
