Azerbaijani citizens to travel to Turkey with new ID card from April 1

The date of the start of trips between Turkey and Azerbaijan with new ID cards has been announced.
According to Report, the Turkish General Police Office said that the decision would come into force on April 1.
"One nation, two states! Turkey and Azerbaijan are closer ... From April 1, 2021, citizens of the two countries will travel with a new type of identity card. A visa-free stay has been extended from 30 to 90 days," the office noted.
On December 10, 2020, Azerbaijan and Turkey signed a protocol on amendments to the agreement on mutual visa exemption, signed on February 25, 2020, in Baku. According to the protocol, citizens of Azerbaijan and Turkey will be able to travel to each other only with ID cards.
