Azerbaijan's Independence Day marked in Madrid

An official reception dedicated to May 28 – Azerbaijan's Independence Day – was held in Madrid on the initiative of the Embassy of Azerbaijan.

According to the embassy, cited by Report, the event brought together government officials, representatives of media organizations, members of the Azerbaijani community, and Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Spain Ramiz Hasanov.

The reception featured samples of Azerbaijani national cuisine, as well as various publications and brochures highlighting Azerbaijan"s rich culture, history, and tourism potential.

It was also announced that, today, on the initiative of the embassy and with the support of the Madrid City Council, the famous Cibeles Fountain-one of Spain's well-known historical landmarks-will be illuminated in the colors of the Azerbaijani flag.
