Azerbaijan, D-8 discuss prospects for cooperation

Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov has met with Secretary General of the D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation Sohail Mahmood, who is on a visit to Azerbaijan.

Report informs, citing Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry that the Secretary General expressed gratitude for the high-level organization of WUF13, which he attended, and for the useful discussions held as part of the forum.

The meeting discussed the current agenda of cooperation between Azerbaijan and D-8 and reviewed opportunities to further develop ties in the political, economic, energy, transport and logistics spheres.

The meeting also addressed issues of regional and international security, with the importance of reducing tensions in the Middle East, strengthening the ceasefire regime and ensuring stability emphasized.
