Italian mafia threatens Gennaro Gattuso's family

The Calabrian mafia is demanding money from the family of Marseille head coach Gennaro Gattuso, Report informs, citing L’Equipe.
The publication notes that it all started with the expert planning to install photovoltaic panels on land owned by his father. He received funding of 80 thousand euros for this project. After this, the criminals began to pressure Gattuso Sr. to get money and set fire to his daughter’s car twice in October and December 2023.
He filed a report with the police. Two people were detained in the ongoing investigation.
Gattuso took charge of Marseille on September 27, 2023. His contract runs until the summer of 2024. Before that, he worked as a coach in Valencia, Spain, Napoli, Italy, and Milan.
