Football is promising sector for investment, says Qarabag coach

Football is a favorable sector for investment, said Qarabag FK head coach Gurban Gurbanov during the Azerbaijan International Investment Forum (AIIF 2025) held in Baku on Tuesday, Report informs.

Gurbanov emphasized the importance of national stability, stating, "If there were no stability in Azerbaijan, there would be no Qarabag and no Gurban Gurbanov."

He noted that Azerbaijan's achievements in the UEFA Champions League come with increased responsibility:

"When people speak of Azerbaijan's success in the Champions League, it raises the bar. I've always felt it's my duty as an Azerbaijani to represent my country. We lost martyrs during the Patriotic War for the liberation of our lands. What we do in football is a small achievement in comparison. I always remind my players of this."

Gurbanov also stressed that stability is essential for raising Azerbaijan's international profile through football:

"We are working hard to achieve even greater success in the future. Football is a promising area for investment."
