Price of platinum on NYMEX exceeds $1,600 for first time since April 1, 2013

The price of platinum futures for October 2025 delivery on the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) has exceeded $1,600 per troy ounce for the first time since April 1, 2013, Report informs referring to trading data.
The price of the precious metal was $1,637.5 per troy ounce (up 0.15%). The price of platinum accelerated to $1,638.5 per troy ounce (up 0.21%).
Since the beginning of the year, the price of the precious metal has increased by 78.74%, and by 14.52% since the beginning of September.
