Official: Azerbaijan may use Kyrgyz model of collecting SDG indicators

Azerbaijan can benefit from Kyrgyzstan's model in terms of a comprehensive collection of national Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) indicators, according to Timur Mambutaliyev, department head at the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan, Report informs.

He made the remark on the third day of the 3rd CIS International Statistics Forum in Baku under the theme "Prospects of Statistics: International Projects."

Mambutaliyev noted that Kyrgyzstan places special emphasis on detailed disaggregation of indicators, the inclusion of new data sources, and international cooperation: "Azerbaijan can benefit from the Kyrgyz model in terms of comprehensive collection of national SDG indicators, organizing new surveys, and exchanging international expertise. This would create additional opportunities to strengthen the country"s statistical capacity in implementing the 2030 Agenda."
