EIB to support strategic projects in Azerbaijan, Eastern Partnership region

The European Investment Bank (EIB) is currently developing a pipeline of investments across the entire Eastern Partnership region, including in Azerbaijan, where it intends to advance on a number of strategic projects, EIB told Report.

In addition, the EIB will be able to support advancing economically viable projects in Easter Partnership including Azerbaijan.

“The European Investment Bank, the bank of the European Union, is actively working with the European Commission and fellow international financial institutions (IFI) on how best to roll out the Economic and Investment Plan and support Eastern Partnership countries, including Azerbaijan,” the bank noted.

The support will be allocated in addressing areas key for sustainable, green development including green transition, digitalization and private sector support: “Once this process is completed, the EIB will be able to support advancing economically viable projects in Easter Partnership including Azerbaijan.”
