Azerbaijan to repay over $ 1 billion in debt next year

In 2022, the state budget of Azerbaijan is expected to spend AZN 1,792 billion or $1,054 billion on public debt and liabilities.
Report informs, citing the Ministry of Finance, that this figure is 6.3% less than the initial forecast, and 6% of next year's budget expenditures.
Compared to the approved figure for 2021, the cost of public debt and liabilities will decrease by 18.55%.
Of the debt repayment, AZN 232 million will be domestic public debt (including AZN 225 million - interest payments), and AZN 1,560 million will be foreign public debt (including AZN 408 million - interest payments).
