Azerbaijan sees increase in social, unemployment, and mandatory health insurance revenues

In January- August of 2025, mandatory state social insurance revenues in Azerbaijan exceeded 4.180 billion manats (approximately $2.46 billion in the context of the the "whitening" process of the number of employees and wage funds in Azerbaijan, Report informs, citing the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy.
This figure represents a 12.2% increase-or 455.8 million manats (just over $268.1 million)-compared to the same period last year. Notably, revenues from non-budgetary organizations rose by 13.2%, surpassing 2.788 billion manats ($1.64 billion).
During the reporting period, unemployment insurance revenues increased by 11%, reaching 148.2 million manats (approximately $87.2 million). Of this, revenues from non-budgetary organizations grew by 12.3%, totaling 113.2 million manats (nearly $66.6 million).
Over the year, mandatory health insurance revenues rose by 10.3% to 727.6 million manats (almost $428 million), including a 10% increase from non-budgetary organizations, amounting to 515 million manats (just under $303 million).
