Azerbaijan sees 5.6% average annual inflation over five months

In January–May of 2026, consumer prices in Azerbaijan increased by 5.6 percent compared to the same period last year, Report informs, citing the country's State Statistical Committee.
The average annual inflation rate remained at the same level during January–April. By the end of 2025, Azerbaijan's average annual inflation had risen to 5.6 percent, compared with 2.2 percent a year earlier.
According to estimates by the Ministry of Economy, the average annual inflation in Azerbaijan is expected to stand at 4.8 percent in 2026 and 4.5 percent in 2027. The Central Bank's latest forecast, announced in February 2026, projects annual inflation at 5.9 percent for 2026 and 4.5 percent for 2027.
