Azerbaijan’s BOP deficit nears $2B

The deficit in the Balance of Payment (BOP) of Azerbaijan amounted to $1,987,700,000 in 2020, while it showed a surplus of $ 5,142,900,000 in 2019, Report informs, citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
The deficit was formed by deficits of $227.6 million in the country’s current account balance (surplus in 2019), $7.4 million in capital balance (down 2.5-fold), and $2,400,800,000 in the financial account (surplus a year ago).
