Azerbaijan forecasts 4.8% inflation in 2026

Azerbaijan's Ministry of Economy projects the country's inflation rate to reach 4.8% in 2026, Report informs, citing the Ministry of Finance on preliminary indicators of the 2026 consolidated and state budgets.
The forecast considers actual inflation levels in the current year, a relative decline in global commodity prices-including food-and its impact on import prices, changes in the nominal effective exchange rate index, assumptions of currency stability, and adjustments in regulated tariffs for goods and services.
The ministry also expects the annual inflation rate in 2025 to be 5.4%.
According to the State Statistical Committee, consumer prices rose by 5.6% in January–August of this year compared to the same period in 2024. In August alone, inflation was 4.9% year-on-year and 0.4% month-on-month.
