Azerbaijan approves amendments to energy efficiency law

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has approved amendments to the law "On the Efficient Use of Energy Resources and Energy Efficiency."

According to Report, under the amendments, the establishment and maintenance of the Energy Efficiency Information System and its subsystems, public awareness and educational activities, as well as the procurement of software for recording the operations of the Energy Efficiency Fund, will be financed from the Fund's resources.

The amendments are aimed at creating a sustainable financing mechanism for energy efficiency initiatives, increasing public awareness, introducing new communication tools, and promoting a culture of energy conservation.
