Azerbaijan, ADB discuss strengthening regulatory framework in insurance sector

The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) have discussed strengthening the supervisory and regulatory framework in Azerbaijan's insurance sector, Taleh Kazimov, Governor of the CBA, said in a post on X, Report informs.

"We met with the delegation led by Ms. Rachel Thompson, Executive Director of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), at the Central Bank.

During the meeting, we exchanged views on global economic challenges, the internal economic situation and development trends, monetary policy, and strengthening the supervisory and regulatory framework in the insurance sector, as well as the sector"s growth potential.

Additionally, we discussed opportunities for further cooperation between the Central Bank and ADB, along with the prospects for ADB"s participation in the country's financial sector," reads the post.
