Volume of BTC oil transported through Turkish territory increases by nearly 8%

During January-November 2024, 204.061 million barrels of oil were transported through Turkish territory via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline, Report informs, citing Türkiye's BOTAŞ company
This is 5.311 million barrels or 2.54% less year-on-year.
In November 2024, 20.116 million barrels of oil were transported through Turkish territory via the BTC pipeline, which is 1.450 million barrels or 7.77% more year-on-year.
Currently, the BTC pipeline mainly carries oil extracted from Azerbaijan's Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) field block and condensate extracted from the Shah Deniz field. Additionally, other crude oil and condensate volumes, including oil from Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan, are also transported via BTC.
