Volume of BTC oil transportation via Türkiye falls over 9% in 1Q2026

In January-March of 2026, the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline transported 47.354 million barrels of oil through Türkiye, marking a year-on-year decrease of 4.889 million barrels or 9.4%, Report informs, citing Türkiye's BOTAS Petroleum Pipeline Corporation (BOTAS).
In March alone, the pipeline transported 16.412 million barrels of oil via Türkiye, which is 2.213 million barrels or 11.9% less compared to the corresponding period in 2025.
Overall, the BTC transported 206.434 million barrels of oil through Türkiye in 2025.
The BTC pipeline primarily transports oil from the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) block of fields and condensate extracted from the Shah Deniz field. Additionally, it handles other volumes of crude oil and condensate, including oil from Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan.
