Turkish wind energy firms invited to explore cooperation in Azerbaijan

Turkish wind energy companies have been invited to Azerbaijan to explore cooperation opportunities, Report informs.

The invitation was extended during meetings held within the framework of the Azerbaijan–Türkiye Energy Forum in Izmir. Azerbaijan's Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov met with Ibrahim Erden, Chairman of the Board of the Turkish Wind Energy Association (TÜREB), and Ibrahim Ozarslan, Board Member of Nordex Group.

During the meetings, the parties exchanged views on the companies' activities in the wind energy sector, including the production of wind turbines and components, technical services, and workforce training.

Information was provided on Azerbaijan's onshore and offshore wind power generation and export projects. The sides also discussed the prospects for the local production of wind turbines and equipment, and potential avenues for collaboration in this area.

The Turkish companies were invited to visit Azerbaijan to assess the current situation and partnership potential on the ground.
