SOCAR, Qatari holding UCC ink MoU

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) and the Qatari holding UCC have signed a Memorandum of Understanding, Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov wrote on X, Report informs.

"Strategic partnerships in the energy sector play a pivotal role in elevating our economic cooperation to the global stage. The Memorandum of Understanding signed between SOCAR and Qatar's UCC Holding unlocks new horizons for collaboration in oil and gas, petrochemicals, infrastructure, and large-scale energy projects in third countries.

Furthermore, a second Memorandum of Understanding between the two companies envisages joint engagement in the Syrian energy sector. This initiative will not only contribute to the restoration of the country's energy infrastructure but also support the long-term stabilization and sustainable development of the wider region," Jabbarov wrote.
