SOCAR, KazMunayGas, and Tatneft hold joint emergency drills in Kazakhstan

Representatives of Kazakhstan"s national oil company KazMunayGas (KMG), the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), and Russia"s Tatneft are conducting joint drills in Kazakhstan to simulate the response to a man-made emergency.
Report informs via the Kazakh media that the training is taking place at the East Makat oil field in western Kazakhstan.
The exercise aims to improve coordination between the companies and enhance industrial safety standards.
"The drills are being held as part of a Memorandum of Cooperation in digital technologies and industrial safety between the oil companies of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Russia," the statement said.
As previously reported, SOCAR, KazMunayGas, Tatneft, and Uzbekneftegaz signed an agreement on May 28, 2025, to cooperate on decarbonization and sustainable initiatives. Under the agreement, a consortium was formed to jointly respond to global challenges.
