SOCAR increased oil exports via Baku-Novorossiysk by 65% ​​in 2021

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) exported 1.01 million tons of oil via the Baku-Novorossiysk oil pipeline in 2021, according to the operational report of Russia’s Central Dispatching Department of Fuel Energy Complex, Report informs referring to Interfax.

Compared to the same indicator in 2020, the volume of Azerbaijani oil exports through Baku-Novorossiysk increased by 64.7%.

Oil transit from Azerbaijan via the system of the Transneft company to the port of Novorossiysk in January-December 2020 amounted to 613,290 tons of oil.

In December, 84,760 tons of Azerbaijani oil were pumped through the pipeline, which is identical to the November volume.

Transneft and SOCAR signed an agreement at the end of January last year for pumping more than 1 million tons of oil via the Baku-Novorossiysk oil pipeline in 2021. SOCAR’s oil transportation via the pipeline in 2019 amounted to 824,400 tons against 1.213 million tons in 2018.
