SOCAR imports 45,000 tons of petrol to Ukraine

In 2021, SOCAR Energy Ukraine, a subsidiary of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) in Ukraine, imported 45,000 tons of petrol to this country.
Report informs, citing the Ukrainian media, that the Azerbaijani company entered the top ten suppliers of gasoline to Ukraine.
The Azerbaijani company imported petrol mainly from Lithuania.
In 2021, Ukraine imported 1.28 million tons of petrol, which is 16.5% more than in 2020 (1.99 million tons).
In 2021, Belarusian refineries increased gasoline supply by 17% or 146,500 tons to 1 million tons and maintained the share in imports at last year's level - 78%.
The largest supply of Belarusian fuel to Ukraine in 2021 was observed in the second half. Thus, 129,000 tons were imported in August, 118,000 tons in September, and 123,000 tons in October and December. In other months, the volume of fuel supplied varied between 70,000 and 100,000.
Last year, 262,000 tons of petrol were imported from Lithuania to Ukraine(+ 10%). Thus, Lithuania maintained the 21% share in gasoline supply to the Ukrainian market.
