SOCAR gas processing plant exports 16% of technical butane

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has published data on natural gas processing and manufacture of finished products at a gas processing plant in 2020, Report informs.

Last year, the plant actually processed 3.763 billion cubic meters of gas, which is 89.1% of the forecast value, according to the SOCAR report for 2020.

During 2020, the plant produced 3.707 billion cubic meters of purified natural gas, as well as 14,000 tons of technical butane and 22,600 tons of naphtha.

Last year saw 17.3% increase in production of purified natural gas, 16.1% increase in technical butane and 13% in naftha.

The entire volume of produced naphtha was directed to the Azneft Production Association as a raw material for processing, 83.8% of technical butane was sold in the domestic market, and 16.2% was exported.
