SCP expenses decline by more than 18%

In the first half of this year, the expenses of the South Caucasus Pipeline (SCP) amounted to approximately $31 million (-18.4%), Report informs, citing a business update released by BP-Azerbaijan.
In the first half of 2022, the SCP spent around $29 million (+7.4%) in operating expenditure and around $2 million (-5.5 times) in capital expenditure in total.
The SCP has been operational since late 2006, transporting Shah Deniz gas to Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Turkiye. The expanded section of the pipeline commenced commercial deliveries to Turkey in June 2018 and to Europe in December 2020.
During the first half of 2022, the daily average export throughput of the SCP was 56.9 million cubic metres of gas per day.
SCPC shareholders are: bp (29.99%), LUKOIL (19.99%), TPAO (19.00%), SOCAR (14.35%), NICO (10.00%) and SGC (6.67%).
