International companies, particularly from China, can partner with the government and Azerbaijani developers to implement transformative (digital) projects in the region, Xu Lu, general manager of China Power Engineering Consulting Group, as well as chairman of NWEPDI, said at the Azerbaijan & Central Asia Green Energy Week 2025, Report informs.
"Azerbaijan and Central Asia are at a turning point with ambitious goals for sustainable development, energy diversification, and infrastructure modernization. International companies, particularly from China, can partner with local governments and developers to implement transformative projects in the region," she noted.
According to her, Azerbaijan's Vision 2030 and initiatives by Central Asian countries, including Kazakhstan's goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2060, are creating strong demand for advanced solutions.
"Chinese companies produce over 70% of the world's solar panels and wind turbines. Modern equipment, including high-efficiency photovoltaic modules and smart grid systems, can accelerate the region's transition to clean energy. Azerbaijan's strategic position as a Eurasian transport hub and Central Asia's growing role in global trade require world-class infrastructure," she added.
