Georgia increases electricity imports from Azerbaijan

In the first quarter of 2021, Georgia imported 463.1 million kilowatt-hours of electricity from Azerbaijan, Report informs referring to the Georgian Energy Market Operator (ESCO).
According to the ESCO, this figure is 15% more than in the same period last year.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan provided 32.2% of Georgia’s demand for electricity.
In the first three months of 2021, Georgia received 863.6 million kilowatt-hours of electricity from Russia, and 111.1 million kilowatt-hours from Turkey.
