Fatih Donmez: Agreement reached with Russia on gas payment in rubles

"After the negotiations between President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Vladimir Putin, an agreement in principle on the purchase of Russian gas by Turkiye in rubles was reached. The schedule and prices will be clarified in the coming days," Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Turkiye Fatih Donmez said, Report informs.
According to him, the possibility of paying a certain part of the transit in Turkish lira is currently being discussed.
Touching upon the Akkuyu NPP construction project in Mersin, he noted that the Turkish side is interested in its implementation without delays in the schedule:
"The leaders of the two countries will soon discuss the project's progress."
