European Commissioner: Azerbaijan plays vital role in EU's energy supplies

European Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement Oliver Varhelyi on Thursday told reporters that during the visit to Baku, his delegation discussed the partnership with Azerbaijan in the energy sector, Report informs.
Varhelyi noted that Azerbaijan plays a vital role in the European Union’s energy supply and diversification of the supplies.
He stressed that the diversification of energy supplies is of great importance for Europe.
