Azerbaijan has additional advantages compared to many countries in terms of reliability of energy supply and trust in supply sources, Managing Director and Senior Partner at Boston Consulting Group (BCG), Pattabi Seshadri, said at the 31st Baku Energy Forum.
According to Report, he noted that Azerbaijan has made significant investments in supply reliability, including the decarbonization of the energy sector.
"The country's oil, gas, and renewable energy resources will remain competitive anywhere in the world. In terms of reliability, this is perhaps one of the safest corridors. In addition, there is trust in contractual obligations in terms of the country's and local companies' ability to actually fulfill their commitments," Seshadri said.
He also emphasized that infrastructure remains one of the areas requiring further development.
"In order to realize the existing gas supply potential and ensure transportation, additional infrastructure needs to be built. This means greater attention must be given to consortia and partnerships to implement such projects. There are many different projects here, and all of them have strong potential," the BCG representative stated.
