Azerbaijan starts buying propylene from one more country

In January-November 2022, Azerbaijan exported 29,932 tons of propylene (+25%) worth $44.356 million (+3.1%), Report informs, citing the State Statistics Committee.

The country supplied 27,809 tons (+40.3%) of product worth $41.19 million to Russia (+13.5%), 1,788 tons (-2.4%) worth $2.412 million (-5.8%) to Turkiye, 233.75 tons (-88%) worth $407,400 (-88.8%) to Belarus, 80 tons worth $316,370 to Brazil (the first delivery), and 20 tons worth $29,270 to Uzbekistan (there was no supply a year ago).

During the reporting period, 1,764 tons of propylene (-9.6%) worth $4.383 million (+9.4%) were imported to Azerbaijan.

A total of 704.25 tons (+2.6 times) of products worth $1.19 million (+3.1 times) were brought from Saudi Arabia, 270 tons (+12 times) worth $1.115 million (+19 times) from Japan, 208.5 tons (+26%) worth $729,000 (+61%) from Singapore, 218 tons (-44.7%) worth $570,000 (-42%) from Turkiye, and 164.5 tons (-77.1 %) worth $309,44,000 (-73.4 %) from Korea.

Last year, Azerbaijan imported from Belarus for the first time in the last 11 years (note: publicly available official statistics on foreign trade are up to 2011) with 42.5 tons of propylene worth $88,530 bought from that country.
