Azerbaijan sees 77% growth in earnings from polypropylene export

In January-October this year, Azerbaijan exported 70,447 tons of polypropylene in primary forms worth $ 96.409 million, respectively, 4.97% and 77% more than a year earlier, Report informs, citing the State Customs Committee.
In the ten months of 2021, polypropylene export made up 4.69% of exports in the non-oil sector, 0.57% of total exports of the country.
Polypropylene is produced by the Polypropylene plant (184 KTA) of SOCAR Polymer. The Polypropylene Plant was inaugurated on July 18, 2018, with the participation of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Italian President Sergio Mattarella. Propylene export started on October 5, 2018.
