Heydar Aliyev International Educational Grant Program to cover 100 students

The selection process for candidates for the 2025-2026 academic year under the Heydar Aliyev International Educational Grant program, jointly implemented by the Azerbaijani Ministries of Science and Education and Foreign Affairs, has been completed, Report informs.

A joint statement from the two ministries noted that out of hundreds of candidates from 64 countries who applied for the program, 100 individuals from 51 countries were awarded the educational grant.

The selected candidates will study at various levels at nine higher education institutions in Azerbaijan, primarily at ADA University, Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University, Azerbaijan State University of Economics, Baku State University, Baku Higher Oil School, Baku Engineering University, Nakhchivan State University, National Aviation Academy, and Khazar University.

This program provides for the education of citizens of member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Non-Aligned Movement, countries of the Small Island Developing States, and countries home to peoples and national minorities with ethnic, historical, and cultural ties to Azerbaijan, at various levels of education in higher education institutions in Azerbaijan for five years.

According to the terms of this program, educational grants are provided to 100 foreign citizens annually, or a total of 500 people over five years.
