Yalchin Rafiyev: Opinions of young people are always relevant to us

The 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), successfully held in Baku last November, is one of the most youth-focused events, Yalchin Rafiyev, deputy foreign minister of Azerbaijan and chief negotiator for COP29, said at the Youth-Led Climate Forum as part of Baku Climate Week (BCAW2025), Report informs.
"Last year, we achieved very successful results. During the budget negotiations, I tried to ensure that the voice of young people was also heard. We worked closely with the youth constituency. I had several meetings with the youth organization of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM). Their views and ideas have always been relevant to us," he noted.
