Mukhtar Babayev: Azerbaijan supports continuity across COP Presidencies

Azerbaijan remains committed to supporting continuity across COP presidencies and advancing the implementation of key outcomes achieved at COP29.

Report informs that COP29 President Mukhtar Babayev said this in a post on X about the Copenhagen Climate Ministerial.

According to him, the ministerial provides an important platform for ministers and climate leaders to exchange views and strengthen political momentum ahead of COP31.

"At a time of growing climate impacts and increasing pressure on multilateral cooperation, these discussions are critical for strengthening trust, accelerating implementation and advancing progress on key priorities including climate finance, adaptation, NDCs and the Global Stocktake outcomes," Babayev said.

He noted that Azerbaijan remains committed to supporting continuity across COP presidencies and advancing the implementation of key outcomes achieved at COP29.
