Babayev: Financing - key to advancing climate agenda

Financial issues remain a key factor in implementing the climate agenda, Mukhtar Babayev, the Azerbaijani President's Climate Envoy and COP29 President, said at a panel discussion at the 5th Antalya Diplomacy Forum, Report informs.
He noted that adequate funding is a fundamental condition for achieving tangible progress on climate: "Numerous conflicts continue around the world. However, in a climate of relative stability, we have the opportunity to contribute to addressing climate challenges. In particular, Türkiye today has significant potential and the ability to engage a number of countries in active participation in the climate agenda."
