Over 120 hectares cleared of mines in Gazakh in eight months

Over the period from January to August this year, 122 hectares of land were cleared of mines in the liberated areas of the Gazakh district, the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) told Report.
During this period, 309 mines and unexploded ordnance were detected and neutralized.
Demining operations in the liberated territories of the Gazakh district have been ongoing since April 2024. To date, 180.8 hectares have been cleared, and 1,038 anti-personnel mines, 98 anti-tank mines, and 48 unexploded ordnance have been detected and neutralized.
