Azerbaijan reports 226 new COVID cases

Over the past day, 601 people recovered from COVID-19 in Azerbaijan, while 226 others contracted the virus.
Report informs with reference to the Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers that five people died due to COVID-related health complications.
Azerbaijan has registered a total of 229,584 cases of coronavirus infection since the pandemic onset. Of them, 221,717 have recovered, while 3,105 have died.
As many as 4,762 people are currently receiving treatment due to the infection.
Some 2,380,074 coronavirus tests have been carried out in Azerbaijan as of January 27. According to the Task Force, 7,458 of them were done over the past day.
