Armenia should provide conditions for return of Western Azerbaijanis to their homeland - AIR Center official

Armenia should create conditions for the Western Azerbaijanis to return to their homeland and continue living in their ancestral lands, Vasif Huseynov, a department head at the Center of Analysis of International Relations (AIR Center), said in the presentation of a report prepared by Regional Human Rights and Media Center Public Union on Bashlibel massacre, Report informs.

He reminded that Armenia tried to separate Karabakh and seven surrounding regions from Azerbaijan: "As a result, the war started in 1989. The conflict ended not only with the occupation of the Karabakh territory of Azerbaijan and the surrounding regions but also ethnic cleansing and the expulsion of Western Azerbaijanis from their homelands."
