Another 85 houses to be restored in Azerbaijan's Shushakand by end-2025

As many as 85 more houses will be restored by the end of 2025 in the village of Shushakand in Azerbaijan's Khojaly district, Afat Telmangizi, head of the press service for the Reconstruction, Construction, and Management Service in the city of Khankandi, Aghdara, and Khojaly districts, said during a media tour of Khojaly, Report informs.

According to Telmangizi, work has already been completed in the village to restore power lines, three reservoirs, and an artesian well.

A transformer has been installed, meters have been set up, a gas pipeline has been laid, and the drinking water system has been repaired.

A project to restore communication lines has also been approved, State Flag Square has been landscaped, and internal roads have been paved.

There are 263 private houses in Shushakand, 91 of which have been deemed unfit for use, and 172 partially fit for use. To date, 15 houses have been restored, and by the end of the year, this number will reach 100.

An additional 72 houses are planned for 2026. Fifteen families (59 people) have already returned to the village. As a reminder, President Ilham Aliyev visited the village of Shushakand in the Khojaly district on September 14.
