Park in honor of Azerbaijan’s National Hero opens in Turkey

A park was opened in Turkey’s Bursa in honor of Azerbaijan’s National Hero, lieutenant colonel, martyr Shirin Mirzayev, head of the promotion, information and analytical research department of the State Committee for Work with Diaspora Vasila Vahidgizi told Report.
She said that the event was attended by the wife of the National Hero, former MP Flora Gasimova, representatives of the Bursa municipality, and other officials.
Shirin Mirzayev was born on January 5, 1947, in Khankandi. He died on June 18, 1992, in a mine explosion, during a combat operation in the Sirkhavend direction of the Aghdam district. In 1994, he received a posthumous title of Azerbaijan’s National Hero.
