17th Uzeyir Hajibayli International Music Festival to begin on September 18

The 17th Uzeyir Hajibayli International Music Festival, dedicated to the founder of professional Azerbaijani music and renowned composer Uzeyir Hajibayli, is set to begin on September 18, Report informs, citing the Ministry of Culture.

According to the ministry, the festival, organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Ministry of Culture, with support from the Turkish Culture and Heritage Foundation and ICESCO, will take place in multiple cities across Azerbaijan, including Baku, Sumgayit, Shusha, Ganja, Aghjabadi, Nakhchivan, and Gazakh. The program will feature grand concerts, theatrical performances, exhibitions, academic symposiums, and masterclasses.

Alongside Azerbaijani musicians, renowned performers and musicologists from Türkiye, the United States, Germany, France, Switzerland, South Korea, and other countries will participate in the event.

The festival will run until September 28.
