Mukhtar Babayev: COP29 outcomes may help attract investment in renewable energy in Africa

COP29's outcomes could play a key role in unlocking investment that can realize Africa's abundant renewable energy potential, according to COP29 President Mukhtar Babayev, Report informs.

"The COP29 President gave remarks to the COP30-IEA High-Level Energy Transition Dialogue on the challenges many countries face in unlocking their renewable energy potential because finance remains too expensive or inaccessible. He highlighted the important role that COP29's outcomes could play in unlocking investment that can realise Africa's abundant renewable energy potential," COP29 posted on X.
