Current relations between Azerbaijan and Brazil are at their highest level, Brazilian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Manuel Montenegro told Report.
He noted that the two countries have always enjoyed strong cooperation across various sectors: "I believe part of this progress stems from the back-to-back hosting of COP29 and COP30. It has fostered an unprecedented level of coordination-not only multilaterally but also bilaterally."
The ambassador highlighted that Brazil and Azerbaijan are placing special focus on the $300 billion annual climate financing goal within the COP30 framework: "At the same time, both countries are making a collective effort to advance the $1.3 trillion initiative under the Baku–Belem Bridge. This initiative has brought us closer together."
Montenegro added that Brazil looks forward to President Ilham Aliyev's participation in COP30.
