Washington to discuss economic security in Caspian region

The Trans-Caspian Forum 2026 will be held in Washington, D.C. on June 10, Report informs referring to the Caspian Policy Center.

The forum will be held under the motto "Economic Security through Peace and Durable Partnerships."

The event will bring together senior government officials from the United States and Caspian countries, leading experts, and private sector leaders.

The discussion will focus on developing a strategic partnership between the United States and the countries of the Greater Caspian Region.

The forum will be attended by US Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan Hikmat Hajiyev, Representative of the President of Kazakhstan for Negotiations with the United States Erzhan Kazykhan, Deputy Adviser to the President of Uzbekistan on Foreign Policy Javlon Vakhabov, Adviser to the Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan Taleh Ziyadov, and other high-ranking representatives of the Caspian region.

The forum's agenda included issues such as the region's strategic vision and prospects for a new stage of Caspian cooperation, the development of the Middle Corridor, digital sovereignty and industrial artificial intelligence, critical mineral resources, energy security in the Caspian Basin, the development of nuclear energy in the region, and attracting investment in business projects along the Middle Corridor.
