USACC to assist Azerbaijani small and medium-sized agribusinesses to access foreign markets

Technical details related to the application and selection processes of the memorandum of understanding signed between United States-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce (USACC), United States Agency for International Development (USAID)/Azerbaijan and Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) will be announced in the upcoming weeks, USACC told Report.

As USACC said, this trilateral partnership aims to assist Azerbaijani small and medium-sized agribusinesses to access foreign markets, including North America, European Union and the Gulf region.

“This year USACC, USAID/Azerbaijan and Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO) signed a memorandum of understanding on establishing a partnership to support agricultural export and investment in Azerbaijan,” clarified the chamber of commerce.

The USACC also reminded that back in 2019, USACC, in partnership with USAID’s Azerbaijan Mission organized two agricultural trade missions to the states of Illinois and Oklahoma: “Both missions were headed by the Minister of Agriculture Inam Karimov and brought over 30 Azerbaijani agribusinesses and representatives of the agriculture-related state agencies and think tanks to Illinois and Oklahoma.”

The USACC pointed that these two trade missions alone yielded $1.2 million in trade between Azerbaijan and the United States.
