Turkish contractors retain leadership in Azerbaijan

Business circles of Turkey are widely represented in Azerbaijan. The number of Turkish companies in the South Caucasus country is growing, Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov said at a round-table discussion on Azerbaijani-Turkish economic relations, Report informs.

“More than 4,200 Turkish companies are currently operating in Azerbaijan,” the minister said.

At the same time, Turkish companies retain leading positions in the construction sector, participating as contractors in more than 300 projects worth $16.3 billion that are funded from the state budget of Azerbaijan,” the minister added.
