Goods worth $30B transported through Azerbaijan’s territory last year

In January-November 2021, during foreign trade operations, 51.05 million tons of goods for a total of $30.209 billion were transported through Azerbaijan’s territory, Report informs referring to the State Customs Committee.
This is an increase of 7.1% and 32.8%, respectively, compared to the same period in 2020.
Some 77.6% or 39.599 million tons of cargo were transported by stationary vehicles ($16.899 billion, 50.8% more). This is 7.4% more than a year earlier.
During the reporting period, the volume of goods transported by sea within the foreign trade operations through the territory of Azerbaijan dropped by 10.2%, to 740,800 tons ($657 million, 20.6% more), by rail - by 1.6%, to 6.348 million tons ($2.806 billion, up 21.1%), by road transport - increased by 26.2%, to 4.265 million tons ($8.342 billion, up 25.3%), by air transport - by 41.5%, to 75,000 tons ($1.289 billion, 4.1% more), by mail - by 2.9%, to 286,000 tons ($74 million, 12% growth).
For eleven months of 2021, exports accounted for 44.12 million tons ($19.799 billion) of the transported goods, and imports made 6.93 million tons ($10.41 billion).
