Baku investment forum to become annual event, says Economy Minister Jabbarov

The First Azerbaijan International Investment Forum (AIIF-2025), held in Baku, is set to become a traditional annual event, scheduled to take place every September, Azerbaijan's Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov told journalists, Report informs.

"We aim for this forum to become a regular event focused on both our national economy and regional economic cooperation," the minister said.

Jabbarov also spoke about several key agreements signed on the forum's opening day, highlighting one major project involving investors from the United Arab Emirates:

"I would particularly like to emphasize a real estate project in Baku that will be implemented by UAE investors. This project is valued at several billion US dollars."

He also mentioned a groundbreaking regional initiative in partnership with a Saudi investment company:

"We signed documents on establishing the region's first facility for seawater desalination - a significant step in sustainable infrastructure development."
