Azerbaijan starts buying tobacco from 3 more countries

Azerbaijan imported 3,471 tons (-2.6%) of tobacco (processed, with or without tobacco substitutes) worth $57.46 million (+15%) in the first 9 months of 2022, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.
During the reporting period, 1,156 tons worth $20.465 million were imported from Turkiye (no supply a year ago), 756.34 tons worth $16,983 million from Uzbekistan, 1,073 tons (-68,7%) worth $16.04 million (-67%) from Ukraine, 185.76 tons worth $2.279 million from Poland, 294 tons (+20 times) worth $1.561 million (+16 times) from Jordan.
This year, for the first time in the last 11 years (note: publicly available official statistics on foreign trade are up to 2011), supplies were made from Georgia, Uzbekistan, and Poland. Azerbaijan bought 0.52 tons of tobacco worth $12,050 from Georgia.
